The pelvic floor is a vital and powerful area of the body. Come learn more about
your pelvic floor through the unique lens of yoga. I teach this complex topic
through anatomy, awareness, breathing, and chanting, plus we'll practice
releasing and strengthening activities. The asana (physical activities) will run
from the subtle to the fairly gentle. Again, no yoga experience is required.
Denise Lillian has been teaching yoga since graduating from Piedmont Yoga Studio’s
teacher training program in 2011, always with a focus on pelvic floor health, and has
been studying this topic through yoga as a student since 2008. She has also
completed Pelvic Floor Yoga TM teacher training courses with Leslie Howard, who, to quote
from the bio in her book, Pelvic Revolution, “is an internationally acclaimed yoga
educator who pioneered the growing field of yoga for pelvic floor health.” Additionally,
Denise holds a master’s degree in teaching from San Francisco State University. She
received her BA in English from UC Berkeley. (Go Bears!)
