In this course we discuss various types of injuries, including sprains, tears, and broken bones, and the stages of healing from acute to chronic. We will look at single herbs and formulas, used both internally and topically to treat injuries in the various stages of the healing process.
The herbs and formulas discussed will be focused in the Chinese herbal apothecary with a history of use in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and martial arts, as well as some Western herbs. In addition, we will all prepare a topical herbal remedy that students can take home for their own use.
